George Jimenez
Summary
Senior full-stack software engineer with 7+ years building products end to end in TypeScript, React, Node.js and Python. I founded Crealix and built it alone: an AI video SaaS with 1,800+ users and 60+ paying customers. I also lead front-end work at Sehma, and was previously a tech lead at Quental.
Experience
AI video platform: type an idea, get a finished, narrated and captioned video for TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
- Grew the product from first commit to 1,800+ users and 60+ paying customers as the only engineer.
- Designed the video pipeline (Trigger.dev, Remotion on AWS Lambda, Cloudflare R2) with model fallbacks and cost limits across AI providers: 800+ videos rendered at 99.4% success, up to 20 minutes long.
- Built Stripe and PayPal subscriptions and a credits ledger (13,000+ entries) that charges real provider cost and refunds failed jobs automatically.
- Shipped an MCP server with OAuth 2.1 so Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor users create videos from chat; 30+ accounts connected in three weeks.
- Built Autopilot, which writes, produces and publishes video series on a schedule (900+ videos posted).
- Ran growth: 6 languages, a multilingual SEO engine and server-side ad attribution, bringing cost per paying customer down to $11.
Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Bun, Hono, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Trigger.dev, Remotion, AWS Lambda, Stripe, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs
- Lead front-end development of the company's web and mobile apps in React, Next.js and React Native.
- Built a Storybook component library on shadcn/ui and Tailwind CSS, and shipped the web app as a PWA.
- Built data-heavy screens with TanStack Query and Table, typed forms and Cypress end-to-end tests.
- Built and improved interfaces for client products, including GLS (parcel delivery) and Fesbal (Spanish Federation of Food Banks), in Vue 3, Next.js and React.
- Structured state and data access with Redux Toolkit and Pinia, with validated forms and Cypress tests.
- Led an engineering team building web apps on Django REST Framework, NestJS, Next.js and Vue: scoping with stakeholders, planning and code review.
- Built back-end services with Celery and Redis jobs, Solr search, Puppeteer automation and an Algorand blockchain integration, on Docker.
- Set team standards for Git workflow, code review and automated testing (Pytest, Jest, end-to-end).
- Built web, desktop and mobile applications for the university and local companies, from analysis to delivery.
